Youth in Mind

 

18 - 30 Service

Our new service for 18 - 30 year olds living in the borough who are not being reached by our  other services. 

Our Youth in Mind team will work with young adults on gaining confidence, having fun and learning new skills together.

  • Awareness

Provide information and via our networks guidance and signposting.

  • Prevention

12 week 'Coping with Life' course covering anxiety, stress, depression, anger management, building self esteem & assertiveness skills and coping with loss and change.  Clients also have a choice around weekly activities for the group.

  • Support

Time limited from staff, after completion peer groups will be user led.

Facilitate the transition in clients leaving Child/Adolescent mental health services and entering adult services, or those who consider adult services not appropriate for them.

Provide initial assessment that are essential in tailoring individual action plans, specific to each client's needs, and follow up assessments aimed at measuring client outcomes and progression
