What is OCD?
OCD is a condition in which you may experience obsessive and compulsive thoughts and actions.
Obsessions are thoughts which repeat themselves on a loop which you may feel you have no control over and cause distress and anxiety. For example, you may worry excessively that you have left the cooker, on or that your hands are contaminated.
Compulsions are behaviours which you carry out to try and alleviate the excessive thoughts and accompanying anxiety. For example, repeatedly checking the cooker to ensure that it is turned off, or washing your hands excessively.
