Havering Christmas Land 2021

local mental health charity Havering Mind presents a unique and magical Christmas Attraction for the local area……Havering Christmas Land! With over 13,000 visitors in 2019 we are delighted to be back bigger and better this year!

Located in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, Havering, RM11 1JU next door to the new Harrow Lodge Leisure centre, it features:

  • The historic Harrow Lodge House building beautifully illuminated with twinkling lights
  • A spectacular Christmas Lights Walk Way in the ‘Secret Garden’ next door to the building
    with 000s of stunning lights, decorations and Christmas scenes,
  • A delightful Santa’s grotto
  • Food/refreshments/mulled wine & German beer served nightly


Entry into the Walk is £3 per person.

Babies under 2 go free. There are no concessions.

All money raised is going to Havering Mind to help them to support more local people.

This will be a magical experience not to miss over the Festive Season!

Christmas Walkway Booking


The Attraction will open to the public on the following evenings:

November: 28th, 30th

December: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 28th, 29th and 30th

The Attraction this year is BOOKING ONLY.

The following slots are available to book on each of the above evenings.

4:30pm, 4:50pm. 5:10pm, 5:30pm, 5:50pm, 6:10pm, 6:30pm, 6:50pm, 7:10pm, 7:30pm, 7:50pm, 8:10pm

You are booking an ARRIVAL TIME
within a 20 minute window.

This is the first time we have implemented this system.
It is being done to stagger entry and cut queues which will ultimately lead to a more enjoyable and safe experience for all our guests.

For example, if you book a 6:10pm slot that is the time you should arrive at. Please be aware though that you may still have to wait in a small queue. Once inside the attraction you may stay as long as you wish. Tickets are non-transferable. Please can all ticket holders in your group all arrive at the same time.


Santa’s Grotto

You need to book for Santa’s Grotto. Santa is in his Grotto on the following dates:

November: 28th, 30th

December: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th

£6 per child includes a wrapped Christmas gift and you are free to take your own pictures!

The Santa Grotto this year is NOT inside the Garden Walk. It is located at a separate part of the site (the other side of the building!) The queue for the grotto is separate and will be clearly signposted for visitors.

The Grotto tickets are ‘open ended’ tickets meaning that they are NOT timed. We advise you to visit Santa after going through the Lights Walk Way to complete your Christmas experience!

Terms and Conditions

Please be mindful of potential changes that we may have to put in place regarding social distancing guidelines at the time of the event to comply with any necessary government guidance.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the Attraction is cancelled by the Organiser. If this is the case, you will be able to claim a refund.

Each ticket holder irrevocably and unconditionally consents to the collection, use and insertion into the Havering Christmas Land database of their personal information provided by the ticket purchaser and any other ticket holder, including for administration, communication, enforcement and access control purposes, in accordance with our privacy policy.

Photographs or any other recordings of sound or images taken by a ticket holder within the Attraction venue may be used for personal, private, non-commercial and non-promotional purposes only.  Each ticket holder acknowledges that he/she is likely to be recorded and the resulting content publicly disseminated across a range of media.

No outside alcohol is permitted onsite. There is a small beverage hut that will be selling mulled wine, German beer and soft drinks.

Havering Christmas Land operates a ‘Challenge 25’ policy for alcohol sales. If you look 25 or younger, you will not be served alcohol unless you can prove you are 18 or older by presenting ID.

Fireworks, Chinese/flying lanterns, flares, and drones are not permitted.

To protect your own safety and those of other guests, please act responsibly.

Ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger of personal injury and responsibility for property loss, destruction or theft and all hazards arising from or relating in any way to the Attraction for which this ticket is issued whether occurring prior to, during or after the event, and releases the ticket issuer/the event producer (Havering Mind) from all liability thereafter with the exception of negligent acts by the organisers (Havering Mind)

Adults are responsible for the safety of the children in their group/care.

All visitors should not under any circumstances touch, interfere with, climb on, any structure, decoration or electrical item with the Attraction. The organiser Havering Christmas Land/Havering will not be held responsible for any personal injuries resulting from these actions.

Smoking and vaping is not permitted within the Garden Walk Way, Grotto or enclosed spaces.

Dogs or other animals are not permitted inside the Garden Walk Way with the exception of assistance dogs.

Please be aware that the Attraction may not be appropriate for those who suffer with epilepsy or other health conditions related to flashing lights.

Havering Christmas Land does not offer refunds in the event of lost or stolen tickets or personal items or car theft.

Please use the litter bins and recycling points provided.

Please also remember that this is a family orientated event. We will take a zero tolerance approach to bad behaviour. Havering Mind intends to make every visit a safe and pleasurable one for all our guests.


We have a no refund policy unless we, the organiser, have to cancel the evenings Attraction, in which case visitors will be able to claim a refund or donate their entry fee to the charity.
