Marketing and Communications Executive
Purpose of the role:
The Marketing & Communications Executive is a creative, collaborative and values-driven role responsible for increasing awareness of Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham (MindHBD), promoting our services, strengthening community engagement and supporting the delivery of our organisational objectives.
The postholder will co-ordinate and deliver effective marketing and communications activity that connects people with our services, raises awareness of mental health support, promotes revenue driven campaigns and events, and celebrates the impact of our work.
Working across the organisation, the postholder will develop engaging marketing content, support campaign delivery, maintain digital communications channels and ensure MindHBD’s messaging is consistent, accessible and aligned with National Mind guidance.
The role requires someone who can combine creativity with organisation and strategic thinking; someone who is approachable, adaptable, flexible and can demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and respond positively to changing priorities and opportunities.
The successful candidate will be passionate about mental health awareness and motivated by using marketing and communications to create positive change within local communities
General Responsibilities
- To contribute to team meetings and organisational priorities, and to prepare for and participate in regular supervision and appraisal meetings.
- To be flexible within the broad remit of the post.
- To take direction on new projects and priorities from your line manager, which may vary from time to time.
- To carry out administrative tasks, and research as necessary, to comply with the job description.
- To maintain clear and adequate records of work done and to produce reports on work programmes and activities as requested by Senior Management Team.
- To ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients sharing their stories on public platforms, always following organisational safeguarding protocols.
- The nature of social media means that occasional unsociable hours will be required to respond to key campaign or media moments.

- Hours 21 hours per week
- Salary £33,997.60 per annum (£20,403 pro rata)
- Contract Permanent
- Annual leave per annum 25 days pro rata. After 5 years of service, you will be entitled to an additional week of annual leave (subject to a maximum of 30 days)
- Level of DBS check Enhanced
- Reporting to Senior Project Manager (Marketing and Communications)
