Social Inclusion Project
The Social Inclusion programme supports adults living in Havering and Barking & Dagenham who are experiencing mental health challenges and social isolation. Our project aims to reduce isolation, boost self-confidence, and promote inclusion & wellbeing. We do this by sharing practical tools for managing stress and enhancing relaxation. The Social Inclusion course explores the following topics: mindfulness, self-compassion, resilience building, my health and me, food and mood, connecting with others, finding solutions, moving forward, exploring opportunities within your local community, relationship building and mindfulness.
Our varied workshops and support opportunities help individuals develop new skills and effectively navigate life’s challenges. We do this through:
- A friendly one-to-one appointment prior to joining the programme.
- Access to specifically tailored workshops focused on coping strategies, stress management, and social skills.
- Access to social groups, activities, volunteering opportunities and other support within the local community to build connections and reduce loneliness.
- Signposting and warm referrals to other relevant local services and resources.
